Forward

Forward describes a Direction that preserves or expands coherent future possibility.

It is not simply movement, growth or success.

A company can grow while weakening what it depends upon. A technology can become more capable while increasing instability elsewhere. A system can achieve its immediate objective while reducing its ability to adapt or continue.

Forward asks a wider question:

What does this Direction keep possible?

An action may appear beneficial now while creating contradiction later. Another may impose immediate cost while preserving greater future possibility.

Forward must therefore be read across scale and time.

A decision can be Forward for one structure while creating Drag elsewhere. A technology may expand individual capability while weakening a wider system it depends upon.

Forward is also not a moral label.

It does not mean kind, popular or socially approved. It describes what a Direction preserves, strengthens or makes possible through consequence.

The practical question is simple:

Does this Direction preserve or expand coherent future possibility?

That is Forward.
